Weekday lunch
A hot meal at 11:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, planned by a registered dietitian for
a low-sodium, diabetic-friendly plate. $4 suggested donation for ages 60 and older,
$7 for younger guests.
Reserve by calling before 10 a.m. that day.
Rides to appointments
The center van runs weekdays 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and covers doctor visits, dialysis, the
pharmacy and the grocery store within 10 miles. There is no charge, and a driver will
walk you to the door.
Call by 3 p.m. the day before.
Medicare and benefits counseling
A trained SHIP counselor reviews Medicare Advantage plans, Part D drug coverage and
SNAP eligibility, in a private room, for free. Open enrollment fills up, so call early
in October.
Thursdays 2:30 p.m., by appointment.
Meals delivered at home
For neighbors who cannot get to the center, volunteers deliver a hot meal weekday
mornings, along with a knock on the door and a short visit. There is a waiting list of
about two weeks.
Ask for the meals coordinator.
